A meeting was held in this regard in the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, but no office-bearer of the chamber showed up. Only those traders who have been issued notices under SRO 608 for tax payment took part in the meeting. The meeting discussed future course of action. The meeting decided to press the government to take approval from the National Assembly on SRO-608.

Big retail business owners said the FBR wanted to install chip in departmental stores to get information about money charged through credit cards or barcode.
