Traders should take benefits of Tax Amnesty Scheme: Haroon Akhtar

LAHORE: Advisor to Prime Minster on Revenue Haroon Akhter presided over a function which was held in Regional Tax Office-I and  arranged by the Lahore Tax Bar Association.

During the meeting Member Inland Revenue Muhammad Irshad discussed in details all the issues being faced by traders community and urged them to take advantage of tax amnesty scheme announced by the government.

He said that FBR introduced one-page tax returns forms to facilitate traders. He said that all the tax payers who will submit their tax returns through tax amnesty scheme will be exempted from audit.

Speaking on the occasion Adviser to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar said that government is taking every possible step to enhance the revenue generation and to put national economy on right directions.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Miniser Advisor on Revenue Haroon Akhtar, Member Inland Revenue (IR) Operation Dr Muhammad Irshad, Member IR Policy Rehmatullah Wazir, Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office one (RTO-I) Tasneem Rehman, Chief Commissioner Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Chudhary Safder Hussain, Chief Commissioner RTO-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer, Additional Commissioner headquarter Khalid Khan, Additional Commissioner Yasmin Fatima and Majid Chudhary.
