Traders shuold avail benefits of VTCS: Chief Commissioner Imran Kazmi

SIALKOT: Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Offices Imran Raza Kamzi has said that the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) is not meant to disturb non-filers rather to encourage them as this scheme will provide fruitful results.

While addressing a seminar on VTCS, Kazmi said that the traders who were earning Rs 0.4 million per month must avail benefits from this scheme because they will get exemption from the audit until 2018.

He said the traders who are ready to come in tax net but some people are misguiding traders. Commissioner Shujah Ahmed Khan has said that the all RTOs has provided awareness to traders about VTCS but some traders are afraid with out any reason but our campaign is still continue to convince the traders.

He said that tax lawyers are playing vital role in this regard as they are guiding non filers to become filers through Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme. He said However tax lawyers have guided them nothing will happen with them rather they must file returns to strong economy of country he said. Commissioner Shujah Ahmed Khan, President Sialkot Tax Bar Association Shakeel Khan, Deputy Commissioner Imran Hashmi and other participated in the seminar.
