LAHORE: All Pakistan Traders Union Secretary General Naeem Mir has said that the government should present tax free and business friendly budget and promote indirect taxes instead of direct taxes.
Mir said that government received the sales tax at all basic necessity of life but due to corruption tax not beneficial for government as well as public.
For the coming financial year, government should decrease the sales tax to single digits as such measure would be helpful to control smuggling.
A pile of documents could not be read by small businessmen, Mir said adding that documentation pertaining to taxation should be simple.
