LAHORE: Traders have decided not to file tax returns all over the country until the withdrawal of the SRO-608 of sales tax by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The All Pakistan Traders Association (APTA), in traders’ convention, reiterated that imposition of sales tax on retailers under amended Finance Act 2014-2015 is not acceptable in any way.

The president of All Pakistan Traders Association, Khalid Pervaiz, had held a press conference last month to present the traders’ stance regarding the SRO-608 and rejected the imposition of tax on the retailers.

“We will go on to strike on October 25, if government did not take action on our demands,” president APTA warned.
