LAHORE: Lahore Traders Alliance Forum President Azhar Sultan has urged traders to take benefits of the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) and cooperate with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
He said that economic stability was necessary to improve Pakistan’s image in the international community, adding that the citizens of country should come into tax net and play their due role.
The ratio of tax returns filed through VTCS was very low, he said, adding that every potential taxpayer should pay his tax liabilities. He said that small traders should also play their role in the economic development of the country.
He said that the FBR and traders should develop a cooperative atmosphere by arranging seminars and workshops in order to educate and facilitate the business community.
Honestly, payments of taxes will definitely help Pakistan get rid of external and internal debts, he said.
