Transfers/postings likely in Customs Southern Region

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is planning to conduct transfers and postings in Southern Region of Pakistan Customs at a large scale.

Sources informed Customs Today that FBR with a view to enhance revenue collection has decided to re-shuffle the southern range officials of Pakistan Customs.

They further told this scribe that FBR has decided to take the decision of transfers and postings after the apex court took up the issue of corruption in the Customs Department.

It may be mentioned here that FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa during his appearance before the Supreme Court, Karachi Registry asserted that FBR had already transferred several officials of Pakistan Customs from Karachi.
