Transparency International inducts Advocate Shahab Imam as member

ISLAMABAD: Transparency International Pakistan has inducted renowned Advocate Dr. Shahab Imam as member with effect from September 21, 2021.

Earlier, Advocate Dr Shahab Imam has been as member on the panel of advocates of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to conduct Inland Revenue/Customs related tax matters.

Dr Shahab Imam is a seasoned advocate and legal consultant but he also served Pakistan Customs for several years at different key posts. He performed his duties as Additional Collector Customs Appraisement (East), Karachi and Additional Collector Customs Export, Customs House, Karachi before his retirement. Dr. Shahab Imam also served as Additional Collector – V, Group – VI/VIII, One Customs, Users’ ID, Facilitation, Law, FTO, Inter-Port Movement and Examination at NLCCT.

During his tenure at Karachi Customs, he was assigned duties as Additional Collector-VI, Group-III, IV, Law, FTO, Refund and Inter Port Movement.

Earlier in June 2014, 41 officials of Pakistan Customs Service including Dr Shahab Imam were promoted to the Grade 19 from Grade 18 at the post of Additional Collector from Deputy Collectors.

Recently, President of Pakistan awarded shield to Dr Shahab Imam at ITCN Asia 2019 for his untiring efforts, enabling the environment for youth, innovation, industry and ease of doing business.
