Transporters, CNG sector to protest on 30th as SSGC for normalising gas supply

KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has assured the All Pakistan CNG Association to address the problems faced by the owners of CNG stations.

The SSGC managing director heard the problems of the All Pakistan CNG Association (Sindh Zone) delegation led by its Chairman Shabbir Sulemanjee and explained that the gas supply position in winter, was resulting in low pressures in the system. However, he said, that SSGC will provide gas to the CNG sector and the shutdown of CNG stations should not be more than two days in a week from the coming week.

On the other hand, Compressed Natural Gas Association (CNG) and All Karachi Transport Union have altogether announced to stage a protest on March 30 over increasing duration of CNG supply suspension in Sindh.

While doing press conference at Karachi Press Club, the associations have unanimously decided to demonstrate a protest outside Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) office on March 30.

CNG Association also protested outside Karachi Press Club demanding to mull the decision of escalating gas tariff.
