ISLAMABAD: Due to the timely action and strategy adopted by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, the United Goods Transporters Alliance Pakistan has postponed strike for unspecified time period.
National exchequer had to face loss of the billions of rupees if strike was conducted but the effective strategies of the FBR chairman settled the matter effectively. After the issue of traders, it was the second conflict, which was handled by the chairman in a few days.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director General Imtiaz Ahmad Khan also played an important role to settle the dust between the FBR and transporters.
It is important to mentions here that transporters had announced to strike against the rude behavior of customs officials and not implementing the agreement made between FBR and transporters.
After the assurance from FBR chairman, transporter alliance Secretary General Shoaib Khan has postponed the strike for unspecified period.
