Transshipment commences from Karachi Port

KARACHI: The Chairman of Karachi Port Trust, Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed SI (M) S.Bt (Retd) has reaffirmed the Port’s commitment to supporting uninterrupted regional and global trade amid the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

In this context, the Port of Karachi stands ready to facilitate international shipping lines by offering efficient transshipment services for cargo destined to ports across the region, thereby contributing to the continuity and stability of maritime trade.

Demonstrating this capability, the vessel MV TS TACOMA and MV TS SYDNEY arrived Karachi and discharged large number of containers belonging to TS Line, Heung-A, Sinokor and many NVOCCS as transshipment cargo. The containers will subsequently be transshipped from Karachi to Jebel Ali in the Middle East.

The Chairman KPT emphasized that Karachi Port Trust remains fully prepared to support the international maritime community and to provide reliable, efficient, and secure port services in the interest of sustaining regional trade connectivity.
