TUNIS: Tunisia’s annual inflation rose to 3.4 percent in April from 3.3 in March after months of decline, official figures showed on Monday. The food and drink price index rose 1.8 percent in April from a year earlier, the state statistics institute said. Tunisia’s central bank last November cut its main interest rate to 4.25 percent from 4.75 percent to boost economic growth, as inflation rates fell. The inflation rate was 4.9 percent in 2015 against 5.5 percent in 2014.
