ANKARA: Turkey would make Twitter open an “electronic office” to make it tax liable in the country.
According to Turkish media, the Finance Ministry is working on a new draft law which would force Twitter to open an “electronic office” in Turkey.
Speaking about the issue, Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said that according to the current law, Twitter is not liable to pay taxes in Turkey, as it only pays taxes where it servers are located.
