ISTANBUL: Turkey’s unemployment rate rose to a 10-month high of 10.8% in December from 10.5% in November, the state statistics agency said Tuesday.
The labor participation rate was 50.9%, with 26.4 million people employed and 3.2 million people out of work, official data showed. The unemployment rate is slightly down from 10.9% in the same month last year, the statistics agency said.
