Turkish investors show interest in Pakistan’s energy sector

LAHORE: The Turkish investors have expressed their interest to invest in renewable energy, saying that Pakistan has abundant sunshine to produce solar energy.

Tarman Group of Turkey CEO Murat Tarman said this while visiting the Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) along with Turkish architect Talip Cankiri and Tarman Group’s International Business Manager Mehmet Arpaci.

PBIT Chairman Abdul Basit and Haroon Shaukat received the delegation along with other senior PBIT officials. PBIT gave a detailed presentation on investment opportunities in Punjab and explained the benefits of investing in energy, agriculture, livestock and private housing.

Abdul Basit told the delegation that Turkey is a true friend of Pakistan and PBIT will facilitate Tarman Group in every possible way.

Tarman said he has a keen interest in investing in Pakistan and is amazed by the diverse and rich culture of Punjab. Tarman Group is one of the leading companies in Turkey and the Group’s brands reach 81 cities in Turkey and are exported to the United States, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and to the Far East. The Tarman Group also has partnerships with Turkey’s foremost cement companies, most notably with Bursa Çimento.
