Turkish organisation to give technical assistance to Tevta

LAHORE: A renowned Turkish organisation has announced to provide technical assistance to the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta).

The KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey) will give Tevta technical assistance for the promotion of skilled training across the province of the Punjab. This collaboration will be helpful to start new courses relating to entrepreneurship, management, accountancy, managerial level and others.

It was stated by Tevta Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, while addressing a meeting in its Secretariat which was attended by Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and others.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that during visit to Turkey, the meaningful discussions with the officials of Turk Company KOSGEB has given us the confidence to propose a sustained cooperation between Tevta, Smeda and KOSGEB in the fields of technical and vocational training for the promotion of skills under a tripartite arrangement.

Now, a proposal has been sent to KOSGEB by Tevta to proceed further in the matter. Through this mutual collaboration, special focus will be given to launch courses for 8,000 Tevta pass-outs who are interested to set up their small business by getting interest free loan, being provided by Tevta through Akhuwat soon.
