Tweak Town talks about alleged new processor and camera of iPhone 7

NEW YORK: On Saturday, Tweak Town talked about the alleged new processor and camera of iPhone 7.  “Inside, we should find Apple’s new A9 processor, which will be made by their main competitor: Samsung. Samsung will use their new 14nm FinFET technology to make Apple’s custom processor, so we should expect a seriously fast dual- or quad-core processor from Apple in the iPhone 7. On the rear, rumor has it Apple will cram in a dual-lens snapper into the iPhone 7 that will provide ‘DSLR-like’ images.”

WCCF Tech has news on what will be a killer iPhone 7 screen.

“There’s a rumor of an edge-to-edge screen with Home button integrated into the display… While not a sure shot but we might see the Force Touch display technology being employed on the upcoming iPhone 7 duo. To fight back the immense success of Galaxy S6 duo and keeping up with the design ideology of Watch and the new MacBooks, it isn’t very far fetched of a feature.”

“It seems like the camera will be a big focus in the iPhone 7 and all models going forward. The tech giant recently acquired LinX, a company that makes advanced camera sensors, for $20 million. Computerworld pointed out that Linx technology has significantly better color fidelity, much sharper and cleaner images and, above all, very good performance at very low light levels with hardly any visual noise at all in comparison to the iPhone 5S.”

It remains to be seen if the camera on the new iPhone can take even better pictures than the one on the Galaxy S6, which many say is as good as any digital camera. Other rumors spreading about the iPhone 7 include a 4K screen, 2GB of RAM, a virtual reality compatible headset (like the Gear VR), and some even have Apple releasing three different versions of the iPhone 7: the regular iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus, and the iPhone 7 mini.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple has sold 61.2 million iPhones (most of sales are for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus) in the three month period ending March 28 this is a 40 percent increase from the year-earlier period. It will be very interesting to see the second quarter earnings and how much the release of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have affected Apple’s sales. No matter what the iPhone 7 is like, you can bet there will be millions camping out across the world the morning the new iPhone is released.
