LONDON: As expected, Twitter along with Microsoft has announced a new app for Windows 10. The all-new Twitter app is made available alongside the launch of Windows 10 for PCs and tablets. It is a universal Windows app that offers instant access to top tweets, photos and videos, without the need for a login. Users will now see tweets in live tiles from the Start menu.

Besides the Twitter live tiles, some of the highlights of the Windows 10 app include the ability to upload multiple (up to four) photos. The app also supports animated GIFs, Vine playback and sharing photos privately via Direct Messages. The tweets with photos, Vine videos and other select content will now show a preview in the Home timeline.
