Two container ships berth at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two container ships ‘CMA CGM Racine’ and ‘Maersk Denver’ were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal.

Meanwhile seven more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, LNG and chemicals also arrive at outer anchoroge of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 20% on Tuesday where a total of three ships namely C.V CMA CGM Racine, C.V Maersk Denver and M.V Oceanis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and soya bean seeds respectively during last 24 hours.  Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 85.5091 tonnes, comprising 58.472 tonnes imports and 26.619 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3.909 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

DEPARTURES:

C.V MA CGM Racine sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another ship C.V Maersk Denver is expected to sail on same day.

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

A total of eight ships CMA CGM Thames, Mearsk Skarstind, An African, Mnas, Maran Gas Troy, Argent Fresia, Shalamar and Liberty-N are expected to take berth at QICT, MW,LCT EEPTL, FOCTO, SSGS respectively on 9th March-2016.
