COLOMBO: Unilever Global Chief Executive Officer Paul Polman arrived in Sri Lanka on a two-day visit to Unilever Sri Lanka. Accompanying Polman is Executive Vice President – South Asia, and Managing Director and CEO of Hindustan Unilever, Sanjiv Mehta.
Unilever Sri Lanka (USL) has been a high performing business and has a rich heritage of over 75 years in the country. USL has registered an exceptionally strong performance so far in 2014.
Polman is expected to talk to the Unilever Sri Lanka leadership team about the challenges of the future, and how the organization can be taken to greater heights by accelerating business growth, while reducing its environmental impact and increasing positive social impact.
During this visit, Polman will have several engagements with both key internal and external stakeholders. Polman will use this visit to engage with various leading government officials and industry leaders including Dr Sarath Amunugama, Faizer Mustapha, Ajith Nivard Cabraal, and Sohli Captain.
On November 28th, Polman will also be addressing 150 undergraduate students at a Youth Forum on the subject of “Sustainability in Leadership”. The session is aimed to providing Sri Lankan youth key insights in how to become sustainable leaders as they look towards transforming the future of the nation.
