ISLAMABAD: Nandipur power plant is going through periodic maintenance which is necessary before the canals closure.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Water and Power, in a statement issued Saturday, said the plant could not be shut down for maintenance during the annual canals closure for 45 days. For this purpose, two of the four machines would remain under maintenance during the next week while the rest two would run on merit order. All the four machines would be available for running after one week of maintenance, he added.
