KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Customs officers assigned at Nuwaiseeb border arrested a Pakistani, who came from Saudi Arabia, for the possession of six rolls of hashish.
According to a source, the customs officers checked the vehicles passing through the border and noticed that the truck being driven by the Pakistani contained oil. This led to a thorough inspection of the truck where the officers found the hashish. A case was registered and the Pakistani was referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, a team of officers from the Drug Control General Department arrested another Pakistani for trafficking in drugs with 50 grams of heroin, 60 grams of ice drugs and 300 narcotic pills in his possession.
Acting on a tip off, the officers put the suspect under surveillance and raided his house after verifying the information. The officers searched the house thoroughly, resulting in the discovery of the abovementioned narcotic substances. The suspect was referred to the relevant authority for prosecution.
