LAHORE: Two alleged smugglers were killed in a cross firing near Wagah border here. According to Customs sources, two suspects were trying to cross boundary line when Rangers personnel cautioned them to stop but they opened fire. In retaliation, the security personnel returned fire.
As a result, two suspects received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot. Their identity has yet to be established. The security personnel recovered weapons and drugs from their possession. Further investigations are still in progress till the filing of this report.
