FRANCE: The United states Astronaut Hall of Fame has announced its decision to relocate to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where it will get merged with new high-tech, interactive attraction called ‘Heroes & Legends’.
The new high-tech, interactive attraction is designed to touch the hearts and minds of the next generation of space explorers.
Heroes and Legends will be built between the KSC Visitor Complex entrance gate and the rocket garden. Moments after officials announced the project, ground was broken on the hall’s new home with 25 astronauts on hand.
The new building would bring visitors in through a series of rooms that will make guests feel as though they are floating in the vastness of space.
The guests can absorb themselves in 360-degree video and audio, 3-D video, hologram and virtual-reality presentations of astronaut experiences.
The 3D omni-directional theater will also be on display and brought to life by high-tech, interactive elements and special effects. It is designed to make early space artifacts from the Mercury and Gemini programs, such as the original Mercury Mission Control room.
