DEL RIO, TX Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio Station found two backpacks containing approximately 44 pounds of methamphetamine and arrested one smuggler.

“Our agents prevented this dangerous contraband from reaching our communities,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez. “This type of drug is highly profitable for the drug trafficking organizations and they constantly seek to bring it in our country. Thanks to the vigilance and the rapid response of our agents, this drug shipment will not jeopardize American families.”
