SPRINGFIELD: Some 2,000 bags of heroin stamped with the labels “NIKE” and “Hollywood” were seized during an arrest in Springfield Thursday. According to Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, police had been investigating alleged drug trafficker Jose Ramirez for about a month prior to the arrest.
The arrest was made by members of the Hampden County Drug Task Force. State police say that the bags of heroin were found inside Ramirez’s home, but they are not disclosing his address at this time.
He is being charged with distribution of a Class A substance (Heroin), trafficking in heroin, and violation of a drug-free school zone.
Ramirez is scheduled for arraignment Friday in Springfield District Court.
