DUBAI: UAE Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court ordered three Arab youths to serve 10 years in jail for consuming and possessing narcotics with the intent of trafficking.
Trio was also ordered to pay a fine of Dh100,000 each for trafficking 33kg of hashish worth Dh400,000.
As per court records, the Anti-Narcotics Department of the RAK Police were alerted about the three defendants for repeatedly entering the country through a land border without any particular reason.
The police raided their accommodation, where they were caught red-handed with the drugs.
