UAE investor lauds KP CM’s efforts for construction of $500m oil refinery

PESHAWAR: An oil investor from Middle East has lauded the efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for construction of oil refinery in the province.

UAE’s Al Motahedon Petroleum Refineries (AMPR) Chairman Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Al Kaitoob Al Nuaimi, along with his delegation, has called on Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and thanked him for directing the authorities concerned for preparing necessary documentation at the earliest for formal signing of sovereign land agreement to construct $500m oil refinery in KP.

The chairman said that the project aimed at utilizing production from the fields of Nashpa, Makori East, Maramzai, Mari fields. He was also excited to see the fields of Paharpur (recently acquired by the Government of Kuwait), Orakzai as that could further enhance production of crude and condensate in the province.

The AMPR chairman assured timely completion of this landmark project, adding that he would also take over one technical training institute for orientation of locals as the first CSR initiative by his company.
