In coordination with the customs officers at the Al Darah border post, the police searched the vehicle as if naturally facilitating transit procedures in order to avoid arousing the suspicion of the suspect.

It appeared that in an attempt to clear himself of any suspicion, the suspect had brought his wife and children with him. Upon the suspect’s allowed entry into the UAE, the research, investigation, and follow-up team of the Ras Al Khaimah Police monitored and pursued the suspect until he reached Um Al Quwain. There, the team coordinated with the Anti-Narcotics Department at Um Al Quwain Police to conduct an ambush and apprehend the suspect.

Upon searching the vehicle, the police found 35,000 narcotic pills and 6kg of hashish that the suspect had hidden in secret pockets and compartments. The police additionally set up an ambush for the remaining two individuals who planned to buy the drugs from the Gulf national, and arrested the two Arab nationals in Um Al Quwain.
