UAE premier announces 2015 forming board of Dubai chamber

DUBAI: A new decree has formed the board of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The term of the board is three years and renewable.

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE has issued Decree No (19) of 2015 forming the board of Dubai Chamber.

Pursuant to the decree members of the new board are Majed Saif, Al Ghurair Majed, Hamad Rahma, Al Shamsi Hisham, Abdullah Al Shirawi, Abdul Jalil Yousuf, Darwish Helal Saeed, Al Marri Rashid, Humaid Ali, Al Mazroei Raja, Easa Saleh, Al Gurg Obaid Humaid, Al Tayer Amna Kalfan, Al Jallaf Ebrahim Ahmed, Al Abbas, Buti Saeed, Al Ghandi Essa, Abdullah Al Ghurair, Yahiya Saeed Lootah, Abdulla Saeed Juma, Al Naboodah Sofia Abdulla Saleh Shehab Mohamed Gargash Abdul Hamied Ahmad Seddiqi Ahmed Saif Belhasa Omar, Abdullah Al Futtaim, Faisal Juma Kalfan, Belhoul Faiza Alsayed, Mohamed Youssef Al .

The board’s chairman and two vice chairmen will be elected pursuant to Law No (8) of 1997 on the organisation of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This law stated that the chairman of the board two vice chairmen and members of the executive bureau shall be elected during the first duly convened meeting of the board to be held within two weeks from the date of the appointment decree issued by the Ruler. The meeting shall be presided over by the eldest member until the election procedures are completed.

All decisions and resolutions issued by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry since October 5 2013 to the date of activation of this decree remain valid.

This decree is active from the date of issuance and will be published in the official gazette.
