UDHAMPUR: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, cutoms today morning rescued 19 animals and arrested three smugglers.
Customs has also seized the Truck, JK02B-6567, in which the animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The vehicle was intercepted by Udhampur custosm during routine checking on the National Highway near Jakhani. The bovine animals were rescued and driver of the vehicle namely Adres of Khan Pur Nagrota Jammu along with his associates Mohd Usaf and Mohd. Zarin of Chanor Jammu, was arrested on the spot.
Accordingly a case under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
