GLOUESTERSHIRE: Customs officials have seized about 100,000 litres of ‘illicit fuel’ from a warehouse in Gloucestershire
HM Revenue and Customs carried out the raid as part of a three-day investigation into fuel duty offences.
A spokesman said: “I can confirm that around 100,000 litres of illicit fuel have been seized from a warehouse unit in Coleford, Forest of Dean, this week.
“Our investigators and road fuel officers, supported by Gloucestershire Police and experienced fuel removers, have dismantled suspected fuel laundering equipment, fuel pumps and storage tanks and also removed a quantity of waste material from the site.
