CAIRO: Transport Minister Saad el Gioushi met Wednesday the UK Trade Envoy to Egypt Jeffrey Donaldson to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations.
The meeting tackled enhancing trade cooperation and ties with Egypt, as Donaldson briefed Gioushi on the expected visit by a British trade delegation, led by Minister of State for Trade and Investment Lord Maude, to Egypt in January.
They discussed issues of maritime, railways, and land transports, as the Egyptian minister reviewed the country’s ambitious plan, and potential investment opportunities in the transportation sector.
Discussions came as part of Gioushi’s talks in London ahead of the election of the executive board of International Maritime Organization (IMO).
