UK property sales fall in January, drop by 6% compared with 2014: HMRC

LONDON: UK property sales fell in January, dropping by 6% compared with a year ago, but estate agents’ views vary on the significance of the decrease.

Transactions totalled 97,320 in January, according to the latest seasonally-adjusted figures from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
