KIEV: In December 2015 Ukraine exported 200.4 KMT of barley that was 15% less than in December 2014 (235.2 KMT). During July-December 2015 barley exports from Ukraine was 5% lower – 3560.2 KMT compared with 3723 KMT over the same period last season. Export shipments declined mainly due to 8% lower production in 2015.
Saudi Arabia remained the major buyer of Ukrainian barley. Apart from China, Libya also increased imports of barley from Ukraine. Libya imported 11% of total barley exports from Ukraine.
