KIEV: The daily pumping of natural gas to underground storage facilities is 81.6 million cubic meters (mcm), the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz has reported, referring to data from the central dispatch department of the gas transport system operator on Tuesday.
“In general, on October 1 through October 19, 673.2 mcm of natural gas was pumped to Ukraine’s underground storage facilities, including 537 mcm on October 13 through October 19,” Ukrtransgaz said.
The increase in the pace of gas pumping is linked to the resumption of Russian gas imports on October 12 at 114 mcm a day. In the morning of October 20, gas stocks at underground storage facilities reached 16.35 billion cubic meters, the company said.
