KIEV: Ukraine and the European Union should harmonize their legislation in the tax and customs spheres as soon as possible, Head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli has said.
He said at the conference entitled “Results of the Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in 2017 and Future Plans” in Kyiv on Friday that Ukraine and the EU should unite their efforts on harmonization of Ukrainian legislation in the tax and customs sphere with the European one. He said that the country has EUR 10 billion available and 13 large projects to harmonize the legislation.
He said that quick decisions should be made in the taxation and customs spheres.
Mingarelli pointed out the problems in the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement in the sphere of transport and intellectual property.
