KIEV: In December Ukraine exported 511.6 KMT of sunflower oil. That was record high monthly exports and exceeds the previous record by 1 KMT (510.7 KMT in May 2014). This includes December exports of crude sunflower – 481.5 KMT, and refined sunflower oil – 30.1 KMT, which is also a record.
Since the beginning of season 2015/16 (September-December) Ukraine exported 1458 KMT of sunflower oil.
Key importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in 2015/16 are – India (33% of the total exports), EU (25%), and China (15%). Besides, Turkey is the fifth largest buyer with 6% and Malaysia took 4%.
