KIEV: Despite record figures of sunflower oil production at the beginning of season 2015/16, exports were almost two times lower than a year ago and totaled to 164 KMT. For comparison, 295 KMT of sunflower oil had been exported in September 2014.
However, such exports volumes in September don’t determine a trend for full season. As a reminder, the situation was similar at the beginning of the record season 2013/14 – low harvesting pace (the reason – rainfall), low sunoil exports and a sharp increase of export price in October. As a consequence – the high exports pace, starting since October. Crude sunflower oil dominates in exports structure, its share is 91%.
