LAHORE: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement has issued a circular regarding dress code on the premises of the Mughalpura Dry Port.
Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Appraisement has issued a circular that all staff, including deputy superintendents, inspectors, hawaldars and sepoys should be in proper uniform. The appraisers and ministerial staff of the collectorate has also been directed to attend their offices in the prescribed uniform. These measures are taken to improve security at the Mughalpura Dry port.
The circular was issued after observing that the staff was not following the dress code of the Customs Department even after directions by the Assistant Collector Headquarters. A circular was also issued in November 2015 in this regard.
Now In the circular all Deputy Superintendents, Inspectors and other staff are directed to ensure all instructions regarding uniform and office.
