LAHORE: The urea sales have decreased by 71 per cent on YoY to reach 120,000 tons.

On monthly basis, sales of local urea producers in Oct 2015 may clock in at 115,000 tons. The urea producers in a meeting with Govt officials agreed to reduce prices if Govt. gives concessions in gas prices. Moreover, buyers were waiting for the disbursements of cheaper DAP on account of Rs500/bag subsidy announced on DAP in Kissan package. This delay in buying by farmers has resulted in significant pile up of inventory.
