US Ambassador Olson hails economic stability in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard G. Olson congratulated Federal Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on the economic stability achieved by Pakistan.

The Finance Minister discussed with Olson the details of the recent round of talks with the IMF on the conclusion of the 8th Review under the Extended Fund Facility here on Monday.

The Finance minister said that with the successful completion of the 8th review would lend further impetus to the drive for economic development. He said the government had now embarked on consolidation of the gains it had made so far and from a position of economic stability it desired to move on to the state of economic prosperity.

The minister also discussed with Olson that Prime Minister likely visit to US for which he may accompany the PM. There was also discussion on the preparations for the SAARC Finance Ministers’ meeting on the occasion.
