BENTON COUNTY: Methamphetamine, marijuana and 26 guns were seized from a Benton County felony convict here the other day, authorities say.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a confidential informant of a Rogers residence that contained drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report. The informant said there were three children living at the residence, and the easily-accessible drug paraphernalia created an unsafe environment for them to live in, authorities said.

At 3:04 p.m., Benton County authorities executed a search warrant at the residence that the informant had reported. The residence is at 10713 W. High Meadows Dr.

During the search, authorities said they found several used meth smoking pipes, plastic baggies with meth residue, 26 firearms with several rounds of ammunition, a bag of pot, two sets of digital scales and 1.2 grams of meth.

The parents that lived at the residence, Dennis Griesenauer, 52, and Amanda Griesenauer, 39, were both taken into custody after the search, according to the report. The Arkansas Department of Human Services was contacted after the search (due to the accessibility of the drug paraphernalia and the living conditions at the residence), and all of the children were taken into the department’s custody.

Dennis Griesenauer had three previous felony arrests and two prior convictions on drug charges, authorities said.
