JAMUL: U.S. Border Patrol agents in East County San Diego intercepted a man who had 30 bundles of methamphetamine stashed inside the gas tank of his Toyota Camry.  This seizure was remarkably similar to one that happened that same day, two hours later, near San Clemente.

Border Patrol agents at the State Route 94 checkpoint referred a 23-year-old male U.S. citizen to secondary inspection.  A  K-9 sniff of the man’s 1998 Camry sedan resulted in a positive alert.  Agents searched the car and discovered 30 packages of meth stuffed inside the vehicle’s gas tank.
