DEL RIO: Border Patrol agents rescued one undocumented immigrant after he attempted to illegally cross the Rio Grande River near Eagle Pass.

At approximately 2 p.m. Friday, Eagle Pass South Station agents performing marine operations, observed one subject in the Rio Grande River struggling to stay afloat due to the fast moving current. The agents responded quickly by pulling the subject from the river onto the airboat. Once on shore, the agents noticed the subject had lacerations on his body and needed additional medical attention. The subject was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
