BRENTON: State College of Florida’s (SCF) Manatee Sarasota President, Dr. Carol Probstfeld has been elected chair of the Council of Presidents of the Florida College System (FCS) by the presidents of all 28 state/community colleges.
The Florida College System is comprised of the 28 public state/community colleges in the state that offer certificates, associate and baccalaureate degrees. The Council of Presidents (COP) is made up of the president of each of these schools.
Its members are charged with directing and monitoring FCS committees devoted to business, instructional and student matters, as well as resource development for colleges throughout the state.
