CALIFORNIA: Carrie Holder field has joined Geo technical & Environmental Consultants Inc (GEC). as a senior geologist. Holder field is a licensed professional geologist in Texas and has applied for her Georgia license. She previously worked as a project manager, professional geo scientist, environmental specialist and geologist with GeoStrata Environmental Consultants in Texas.
Bradley Thigpen, an environmental engineering graduate from Mercer University, has joined GEC as a staff engineer. Thigpen worked for GEC the past five years in the construction and environmental departments while completing his second degree.Chief Justice Hugh Thompson has been elected to the board of directors of the Conference of Chief Justices, the national organization that represents the highest judicial officers from every state in the U.S., as well as from the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.
The 11-member board is the governing body for the Conference of Chief Justices. Thompson grew up in Milledgeville and graduated from Mercer University’s law school.Thomas Reichert of Dunwody Insurance Agency Inc. in Macon, recently became a PaceSetter member of State Auto independent agents.
The Business Development Committee of the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes Summerhill Senior Living Community as its Business of the Month for August. This award makes it eligible for the Business of the Year Award.Pat Topping, senior vice president of the Macon Economic Development Commission, has been awarded recertification by the International Economic Development Council effective Sept. 30. Topping first achieved the certified economic developer designation in 2003.
