TUCSON: Agents from the Tucson Sector’s Casa Grande Border Patrol Station are currently accepting applications for the next Customs and Border Protection Citizen’s Academy, a seven-week course meeting on Wednesdays, from 5 to 9 p.m., beginning Oct. 28 and lasting through Dec. 16, 2015. (*NO CLASS week of Thanksgiving)
The academy will give community members an insight into the daily operations of Customs and Border Protection, and provide a first-hand look at what it takes to become an agent or officer. Attendees will also gain a more complete understanding of CBP operations, as well as a greater understanding of how agents and officers perform their daily duties.
This is a free program and includes all class materials. Minimum requirements involve a background check and applicants should be in good physical health.
Tucson Sector Border Patrol, part of Joint Task Force – West, Arizona, is committed to engaging in community-outreach focused on strengthening relationships with border communities. Programs such as the Citizen’s Academy provide opportunities to enhance stakeholder awareness and develop positive experiences within border communities.
