LAREDO: A man was ordered to serve more than 10 years in prison during a recent sentencing hearing in a Laredo federal court for attempting to smuggle 6.15 kilograms of methamphetamine through a local international bridge.
An indictment filed Jan. 21 charged Manuel Antonio Garcia-Nunez with importation of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
