US customs attests wanted man at Dallas airport

DALLAS: U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport arrested a man with an active felony warrant for larceny, Aug. 20.

Frederick Louis Schreier, 59, was returning to the U.S. from Mexico City, Mexico when CBP officers arrested him.

Schreier, a U.S. citizen, is wanted in Denton County, Texas for larceny, theft of property that may equal or be valued at $200,000.

“When we encounter persons wanted by other law enforcement agencies, we verify the warrant and then carryout the appropriate law enforcement action,” said CBP Port Director Cleatus Hunt.

CBP officers turned Schreier over to DFW Department of Public Safety for transport to Denton County.

On a typical day in 2014, CBP officers arrested 21 wanted persons per day at U.S. ports of entry around the country.  More information is available about a typical day in CBP in 2014 and previous years.
